MOROCCO Marrakech & the Sahara Desert

From the vibrant colours of Marrakech to the deep peaceful beauty of the unspoilt areas of the Sahara Desert – our new workshop in Morocco will take in the country’s most beguiling sights.

I love Morocco – the landscape and the culture are breathtaking, and it has been enticing me for many years to explore its diverse beauty.

We will start this workshop in the ancient city of Marrakech, home to some incredible architecture, vibrant street markets and fascinating history. We’ll stay in the heart of the ancient Medina.

We will photograph the iconic sights, capture the people and spirit of the city – as well as venture off the beaten track to explore the local neighbourhoods.

After the bustle of city life, we will head off on our journey into the desert – crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the Atlas mountains.

We’ll shoot the diverse and changing landscapes as we travel – the red rock mountains and luscious rivers and vast rich orange scenes of the deep desert.

We’ll explore the little villages we encounter along the way.

We’ll be taking in many unspolit and untouristy parts of the desert, as we head towards the remote Saharan dunes and Anti-Atlas mountains near Tafraoute.

We’ll be camping under the full noon for 3 nights, with one night in a wilderness camp next to the canyon mountains of Iriqui National Park, and two nights in a Berber desert camp at Erg Chigaga dunes – a unique experience!

This workshop will be packed with fascinating photo opportunities, and I will guide and show you how to create the very best photos of each location.

I will teach you the tips and techniques that I use every day as an artist and photographer, to make compelling and unique images wherever I go.

As we journey into parts of the desert rarely experienced by tourists, we’ll have our amazing team of local guides to take us to unspoilt gems where we can capture some truly outstanding photographs.

Our new workshop will be 10 days of intense photography and we will be accompanied by some very cool friends and special guides.

I want to help you capture the feeling of this interesting country and culture, and help you bring your unique vision of Morocco to the world.
