Re flower shot. The angled stem is like a visual punch line — gotta have it. A double take. Reminds of that image of a row of English regiment soldiers stiffly at attention, with a fainted comrade lying on the ground between them. Would you PS him out? Nay.

Your comment may have changed my mind. Leave things natural is actually my creed, but with such natural precision within the frame that stem seemed out of place. Let it rest!

Re Photo #3 Viet Nam. I disagree on including more sun. By cutting off just a wee portion you’ve minimized it’s importance, it’s not whole, especially considering it’s the brightest spot and the eye migrates towards that, but less so in that it’s not complete. Including the reflection, I think, would have established another distraction from what I feel is the main soul of the image, the moody depths of the center.
Now, a vertical thirds crop of sun, dark waist and lead-in reflection, hmmm. — my twopence worth.
I truly enjoy the visual and intellectual messages; thank you, and have a grand 2020.

Lol. The flower shot is so mesmerizing that I never even noticed the errant stem!

Neither did I. It took many viewings before it came to my attention.
